Spring Sale!

A Prayer In Spring, by Robert Frost

Oh, give us pleasure in the flowers today;
And give us not to think so far away
As the uncertain harvest; keep us here
All simply in the springing of the year.

Oh, give us pleasure in the orchard white,
Like nothing else by day, like ghosts by night;
And make us happy in the happy bees,
The swarm dilating round the perfect trees.

And make us happy in the darting bird
That suddenly above the bees is heard,
The meteor that thrusts in with needle bill,
And off a blossom in mid air stands still.

For this is love and nothing else is love,
To which it is reserved for God above
To sanctify to what far ends he will,
But which it only needs that we fulfill.

      Spring is one of my favorite seasons, if for no other reason than it is an indication that summer is on its way:-) It’s quite a remarkable experience to reflect on the cycle of life, death, and rebirth that is present in nature. It is reflected in our own lives from time to time as well. Moments that we never deemed possible are only bearing fruit in our lives today because of a process of death and regeneration. In our moments of weakness something new is born and its presence not only reflects new life but offers us peace and restoration. I was walking with Asher the other day and he saw a bird sitting on a branch singing its own little spring tune. Asher said “What’s that?!” I told him it was a bird singing a song and then I asked him “What do you think the bird is singing about?” Asher thought for a minute and then said with a matter of fact tone… “God.” I think he’s right. I’m thankful for the life I have been given. I’m thankful for the stories that I have acquired and the stories yet to tell. In thinking of new life and new stories I thought “Why not offer a spring discount for families that want to capture the moments God is leading them through right now.” If you are thinking about getting some family portraits follow the link below and let’s capture your story together!
